Dialoghi di numismatica 3, 2022

Lost, discarded, hidden coin
The topic of coin in context is getting increased attention in archaeological and numismatic literature, and it is a common opinion that the analysis of coin finds has to be conducted also considering the archaeological layer and associated artefacts. The understanding of how coins enter into the archaeological record and which historical and economic factors are involved, is a quite debated subject but far from being deeply researched.
In the section Temi of the third issue of Dialoghi di Numismatica (https://www.dialoghinumismatica.eu) will be published contributions about loss, discarding and hiding of coin. Will be accepted papers with specific case studies or from a methodological point of view, without chronological boundaries.
The Editorial Board of the Dialoghi di Numismatica invites numismatists, archaeologists and historians to contribute with papers dealing with this subject.
Furthermore, the section Studi e materiali receives contributions and notes on various topics: papers discussing coins from archaeological, historical and artistic perspective will be considered.
Those interested in participating can submit a short proposal describing the subject of their paper at the email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by July 30th, 2020. The submission deadline is March 31st, 2021.
